Life & Status Update

Overcoming Misophonia, Anxiety, Panic, Depression, Self Doubt, & More

Hello, fellow mental warriors. How are you? What’s been going on? I hope this message finds you well.

A lot (I mean A LOT) has happened between the initiation of this blog and where I am today. I’m going to gradually release posts about all of the fun things I’ve tried along the way to get to where I am now (mentally).

In the meantime, I thought I’d write this post as an update on how everything is going regarding finding a cure for Misophonia, Anxiety, Panic, Depression, etc… and I have fantastic news for you.

I’m currently rocking between 100% and 90% better or “cured” depending on the day. I’m in the process of solving the last piece of the puzzle to create permanent, lasting change. What has proven most effective for me is NLP – Neuro Linguistic Programming. It’s relatively similar to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and unfortunately is considered pseudo-scientific.

For all you Misophonics out there - the guy that introduced me to NLP used it to overcome Misophonia. I owe this man an incredible debt of gratitude and I will be writing future posts about him, his story, and the work we did together.

Over the past year or so, I’ve read and studied a ton about NLP and the different exercises that can be used to resolve mental turmoil. I’m in the process of completing my training to become a master NLP practitioner and this past weekend completed training in what we refer to in NLP land as Time Line Therapy.

Time Line Therapy is one of the most fascinating and powerful tools in NLP. It can be used to resolve past traumas, limiting beliefs holding you back, and so much more.

Chris – what do you mean it can be used to resolve past traumas?

Great question.

It’s not that these memories are deleted from your brain, it’s that the emotions associated with them are eliminated, so these memories no longer bother you.

A few of the other amazing benefits of Time Line Therapy are:

  1. Boosting your confidence (significantly)

  2. Acknowledging and fully believing in your self-worth

  3. Feeling happy and excited about your future, turns out things can work out

  4. Forgiveness and compassion toward others

It’s really nice to feel like you respond to current situations based on reality and not the past experiences that have fogged the lens you’ve been looking through.

I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned over the past few years. Thank you for your patience as I continue to write about valuable tips and tricks. I want to make it a point that moving forward (aside from the past… somewhat funny? maybe? stories) I only share with you what’s actually worked either for myself or people I know. I hope my story and what I’m learning will eventually help you achieve mental harmony and live the life you’ve always wanted.

Lots of love,

Chris
